Loire Valley CastlesFertile farmland surrounds the Loire Valley Castles, a cluster of majestic, haunting castles left behind by royalty long ago, scattered on the outskirts of Paris. Though it requires a decent hike to reach them, the trip is well worth it; the castles house a plethora of breathtaking clothing, knickknacks, and other things from the age of kings, queens, and princesses long ago. The castles themselves number around 30, with some more dilapidated than others. They spread along the Loire River, and the views afforded from the grand windows are breathtaking, even if the glass is cracked and dusty. Visitors beware, though - these castles are labyrinths of rooms and secret passageways, and its frighteningly easy to get lost in their depths. |

Something French CaféLocated a short walk from the Champs Elysees, the Something French Café is a place for all sorts to mingle. All ages frequent this place, though teens and 20-somethings seem to dominate its population during the nighttime hours. By day, this café is an intellectuals delight, serving drinks and playing old French music on a dusty record player, tiny round tables and comfy couches scattered throughout the room. But by night, the record player is turned off and the pulse of techno dance music reverberates through the wooden dance floor, and oft-inebriated patrons dance the night away. |

The Metro/ Downtown ParisThis forum encompasses general downtown Paris, with its abandoned bistros and tiny flats, as well as the famous Paris Metro system, long since abandoned and in serious disrepair. A haunting place, the Metro is perpetually dank and dark, the specter of hallowed traincars sitting still on the broken tracks. Known as a dangerous place, only the incredibly brave (or incredibly stupid) venture down into the Metro, where the maze of tracks has been known to swallow the unsuspecting sightseer. Rats, and other unsavory creatures, thrive down here, their scuttling and squeaking a constant din. Equally unsavory characters frequent the Metro as well, characters most sensible people, mutant or otherwise, would do best to avoid. |

Champs ElyseesThe Shopping District! This famous avenue, once touted as the most beautiful in the world, has long since fallen into squalor, but the ghost of its beauty can still be seen. Lined with broken lights and overgrown shrubbery, the Champs Elysees is a shoppers delight, with tons of couture shops, as well as general stores and supermarkets in the back alleys. Its vast and confusing, as is most of Paris, but veteran residents have no problem navigating its winding streets and narrow alleyways. Need a new shirt? Some canned food? Need anything at all? Come here, because if you cant get it at the Champs Elysees, you wont find it anywhere. |

Moulin RougeIn what was once considered the red-light district of the city, a large, red, imitation windmill is proudly mounted on the roof of a famous cabaret. A long-standing symbol of French culture and Bohemian charm, the Moulin Rouge is a functional nighttime hotspot even today. From the stage, girls with painted lips and lashes excite the crowd with a frenzied delirium of feathers, fishnet, and rhinestones. Substance abuse and prostitution is common within these garish walls, and it's not often a night passes without a brawl breaking out. It's a dangerous place, gritty yet glamorous. Those with common sense might have a better time at the Something French. |

Pavillon de la ReineOnce the hotel of the stars, this romantic-styled hotel of suites, flat-style condos, and regular sized rooms now crumbles under the battering effects of nature, yet its majesty is still apparent. Tucked away in a now-overgrown courtyard of wild foliage, the building itself is covered in vines. Mutants have taken a liking to this place in particular, with its variety of room styles. Some are modern chic, others, romantically medieval. All, though, are lavish in their decorations. The condos are particularly prized, as they have small kitchens and living areas in addition to bedrooms. When a room becomes vacant, its usually claimed within a day or two. |

SuburbiaWhat would a human city roleplay be without a healthy dose of Suburbia? Well, this may be "suburbia," but it's definitely far from the "Mother, Father, 2.5 Kids" format of the olden days. These houses, ranging in size from small to near mansion size, we left over after the apocalypse, intact and completely abandoned. When the first immigrants began traveling and massing in Paris, they realized that these places were perfect to live in. And so now, many people live within these houses, sleeping in a stranger's empty bed, sitting on a stranger's couch. Many of these houses have personal gardens as well, since the only way to get fresh food is to grow your own. |

The CountrysideFor those who prefer nature to the concrete jungle, the countryside is an ideal place to live, despite the fact that its several miles outside of the city. The homes here are spaced generously apart, with the now-wild estates of rolling green hills, ponds, and creeks create a rather picturesque frame for the city in the distance. Some create rudimentary automobile-type things to get from their home to the city, a few use horses, but most walk the several miles to Paris. The homes themselves vary as much as the homes in Suburbia, with tiny cottages a few miles from massive mansions. |

Charles de Gaulle International AirportLithium: One of the motliest groups of people ever living under the same roof, members of Lithium all have one thing in common: sticky fingers. This gang makes their living thieving and ransacking, more like a group of pirates than gangsters, really. Their headquarters is the large Charles de Gaulle airport, an abandoned airport that once bustled with life. Although the passengers have long since departed, the stores here remain in shape, still containing clothing and the likes. If nothing else in the airport intrigues you, the empty, flightless planes are always an interesting exploration. Although they could care less about anyone else, including the other gangs, Lithium members take great lengths to look after each other. After all, birds of a feather |

The LouvreHelium: Helium's inhabitants dwell within the vast confines of the very famous Parisian palace and museum, the Louvre. These walls are adorned with hundreds of famous works of art, the most famous being the Mona Lisa. Helium is rather laid-back in its selection of potential members, allowing anyone from the age of 7 to 57 to partake in the admiration of the artist upon its walls and archives. The mannerisms of Helium gangsters can range from being very cold-hearted to being very light and carefree. Following with the previous leader's requests, Armand will allow other gang's members to enter the Louvre to view the beautiful artwork that has been wonderfully preserved over the many years, only asking an entrance fee of an article of clothing or one can of food. |

The Opéra GarnierArsenic: Built in the ornate Neo-Baroque style of the 19th century, the Opéra Garnier was an architectural masterpiece of its time. When in 1910 the French novelist Gaston Leroux wrote a tragic tale about a pretty soprano and the Opera Ghost who loved her, he set it in the Opéra Garnier. Today, mutants of the gang Arsenic, not the fictive Phantom of the Opera, haunt the theatre and the corridors and vast underground lake beneath it. A six-ton chandelier still hangs from the frescoed ceiling, one of the only remnants of the opera house's former opulence. Arsenic members take great care in keeping thieves off of their territory, lest they make off with the Opéra Garnier's remaining gold leaf and velvet. Mysterious mutants, with penchants for physical powers, compose this tight-knit gang. |
